INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS
Nexus is a large area diffuser that can be placed in an open room or integrated into your HVAC system to provide scent through your air supply vents. While open room diffusing is the easiest method due to no installation required, scenting your home through your HVAC system is not difficult with a basic understanding of how an HVAC system works.
Nexus comes with all parts for open area use and HVAC integration. Standard 110v power outlet is required to power the Nexus. Because the Nexus only uses 17w of power when running, circuit overload is not a concern.
If you are planning to integrate into your HVAC system, a 110v power outlet must be accessible where your HVAC air system is located. Current National Electrical Code (NEC) requires a service receptacle near air conditioning equipment to be within 25 feet of the equipment. If your home was built prior to the issuance of the current NEC code, you will need to hire an electrician to install an outlet for power.
Installation into your HVAC system requires you to be able to determine the Return side and the Supply side of the air handler. The Return side is the part that pulls air from your home, through the filter, and into the air handler. The Supply side, is the heated or cooled air that is going to your air vents throughout your house. The Nexus diffuser requires a small 7/8″ hole on the Supply side, anywhere after the air handler equipment and before the first air vent.
Tools required for HVAC installation are a drill and 7/8″ drill bit.
